Formula Drift Round 5 Las Vegas

With temperatures soaring over the 100 degrees Formula Drift made its 5th stop of the Season at Las Vegas Motor Speeway. It was a very exiting battle between 32 drivers but one stood out Tyler Mcquarrie and his Falken Nissan 350z after beating team-mate Dai Yoshihara due to technical problems with his car.

Vaughn Gittin Jr took third making him the current point leader for the Championship  with  439 points followed by Dai Yoshihara with  417 and Tanner Foust wit  386.

The level of competition is raised as the conclusion of the season comes to an end.

Tony Brakohiapa was the surprise after of the event placing 4th for the first time of his carrear as a Formula Drift driver.

Samuel Hubinette ”The Crazy Swede”  Took first in qualifying to top 32 with entrée speed up to 100mph yes it might be a big car but the Challenger has proved that it can be as good as the Viper.

I tough the Vegas strip will be bright but not a bright as the V-LED/Intec Racing drove by Dean Kearney.

The next stop for Formula Drift will be at Infineon Raceway, September 10th and 11th.

On The Drivers Seat

During are trip to Vegas for XDC round 2 we were welcome by a very friendly person who introduce him self even without knowing we were part of media covering the event,I’m talking about Former Formula Drift Driver Casper Canul who seen very exited and happy being in competition again after a short break from Drifting.

Many people had been wondering why he decided to stop drifting professionally and the answer was to spend more time with his Family since Professional Drift Drivers  spent a lot of time away from home during the Formula Drift Season or doing Drift Demos.

Casper Canul is the first professional Latino that had compete in The Formula Drift Series and have achieved podium finishes making him the Top Latino Drifter,he also know for reach to the Latino Drift fans with his bilingual skills, Canul is currently driving a Nissan 240SX S13.5 and he will be competing the XDC Series.

We would like wish luck to Mike at Formula Drift Atlanta , and I would like to Thank  the Justdrift staff for giving me the Access to shoot at their event.

Sorry I dint stay for  competition but I had to work day after since The Drift Empire at this moment is run by only one man.
